8th Street Studio
My 8th Street Studio and its day to day, or maybe it will be week to week digression on my studio issues, art thoughts, and the duality experience between conceptual/rational and nonconceptual/intuitive. Grid and ground contained all within.
I can't tell what time you sent your mail, it said 3:15 on my computer
...words from an email sent to my friend Jane in Kansas City, years ago...
around 1995, found them today.
"IT'S ALWAYS DIFFICULT AFTER HAVING A SHOW (AND ALSO SALES) TO WORK AGAIN
WITHOUT THAT STUFF (WHAT EVERONE HAS SAID, WHAT EVERYONE LIKES OR
DISLIKES) TO BECOME A BOTHER, BUT YOU HAVE AN ADVANTAGE, YOU CAN SEE
THOSE THOUGHTS AND THEN LET THEM GO BACK INTO THE SPACE, THEY ARE JUST
OPINIONS ANYWAY, THE ONES THAT ARE RIGHT FOR YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENT
TYPE OF SENSE, i THINK, THEY CONNECT IN A DIFFERENT WAY,
LIFE SEEMS MORE COMPLICATED THAN PAINTING RIGHT NOW, i AM SURE IF IT
WERE THE SAME, IMAGINE THAT? PERHAPS YOUR PAINTING IS LIKE MY LIFE,
DON'T WANT TO MESS UP????? i KNOW A PAINTING ONE CAN ALWAYS BEGIN AGAIN,
